THE TRANSFORMATION OF THOUGHT

In our last project we got an “insight” into our own work, which we had not really realized until then. It’s called the transformation of thought. It happens when well informed people sit together (face-time works well here) to discuss a topic of common interest (in this case it was the subject we had to write on). Each brings to the table his or her own “experience” and knowledge with the topic such that they create a “thought board” on which the different pieces of insights seem to link up to make a story. The story gets compelling and nuanced when we consider all the nuggets of thought as aspects of the same issue. When Insights & More does its stuff on this “thought board”, the results are fantastic. Last time we were astounded by the power of this process. We call it the “transformation of thought”.
The lesson for us and our clients is that it’s important to budget enough time to think through the issues, to thrash out all nuances, to “listen” to differing points of view and appreciate equally powerful arguments which may not be in agreement to ours so as to take a holistic perspective. It’s amazing how the pieces of jigsaw seem to fall into place.
